Fees Registration Fees cover the cost of Musikgarten materials for your child for the semester. Materials are simple, developmentally appropriate and made of natural materials, as much as possible. Registration fees are due with registration to hold a place in a given class. Materials are required. If you have a second child enrolled in the same class you do not need to pay a second material's fee. Siblings may re-use materials in future classes. If registration fee is received for a class that is full or for a class that does not have sufficient enrollment your fee will be refunded. Tuition Fees pay for the actual class experience for your child. Pia Robbins has years of experience and training in music, movement, and in teaching children. She will work hard to provide the best classes possible. Little Timbre Studio strives to offer superior educational experiences for your child at reasonable costs for families. Tuition payment may be a) Paid in full at the first class (check or cash) b) Paid in installments - bring three checks to the first class. c) Paid in full via Paypal when you register. Discounts Families with more than one child enrolled in Musikgarten may deduct 25% off the tuition of the second child. Scholarships Scholarships are awarded based on financial need. A limited number of scholarships are granted each term on a first-come, first-served basis. You must re-apply for each term in which you wish to be considered for a scholarship. Please complete the scholarship application. Withdrawals/Refunds There are no refunds or credits for absences. These are classes where everyone, especially the children thrive with consistency and numbers needed for class activities. Socialization and community is integral to the benefits of Musikgarten. For withdrawal a $20 cancellation fee is charged for notice given prior to the session starting; a $40 cancellation fee is charged if notice is given after a session has started. Refund for withdrawal is given on a pro-rated basis, and only for pre-paid tuition, not for materials that have been received and taken home. There are no refunds after the 5th week of class. Important Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury or damages sustained at Tamarack Wellness Center or Little Timbre Studio, resulting from normal class activity or any other activity conducted by the student before, during or after his/her class. CLASS GUIDELINES:
Please try to be on time. Dress for dancing and movement! Food, toys or other "distractions" often cause problems rather than provide comfort when brought into music class. Since another child might want your child’s drink or stuffed animal, it is often easier to leave those things at home or in the car. WEATHER: If Eugene streets are closed due to snow, we will also be closed. Every attempt will be made to make up missed classes. MISSED CLASSES Be sure to note days when your class does not meet. The schedule is initially based upon the 4-J calendar, but changes are made to account for the parameters of the Musikgarten curriculum. PARENT PARTICIPATION AND CONCERNS: Even if the child is just quietly observing, caregivers need to participate in the class activities. Try not to worry about your musical competence, but rather, demonstrate respect for and enjoyment of music through your focus and attention. If your child is having a bad day, feel free to step out of the class for a while, then rejoin the class later or talk to the teacher about another class session to attend for a make up. We all have bad days now and then! Understand that all children learn at different rates and in different ways. Some children will be quiet in class, others will be active. Some children will do everything perfectly at home, but not in class. As a parent, you know that every child is unique, so check your comparisons at the door and let the music work its magic!
