           PRESCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM

Weekly toddler/preschool music classes to enrich your school or center's program. A certified, trained and experienced teacher will come to your school, bringing the necessary instruments.

BENEFITS:
For the school and the teachers: This is a wonderful feature to families when promoting your school or program. The school is enriched by the weekly music enrichment activities allowing the teachers to develop their abilities to lead music activities throughout the day.

For the children: Music is effective to foster the whole child's development. Along with building a love for music other areas of development are enriched: social and cognitive skills, self-confidence, listening skills and physical control of their bodies. Music activities in the early years also form a foundation upon which future music learning and enjoyment is built.

CLASSES:
"Family Music for Toddlers" nurtures the development of the very young child, 16 month-3 year olds.
"The Cycle of Seasons" is a musical celebration of the year for preschoolers ages 3-5. The central theme of nature is explored through songs, movement, instruments and stories for the children to act out and embellish. This flexible curricula is developed by leading preschool music professionals, Dr. Lorna Heyge and Audrey Sillick, reflecting the latest research in early childhood development.

The weekly classes are a 30 minutes to 40 minutes in length. Each session runs for 10 weeks. Your school will receive a CD and songbook for use throughout the week. In addition, an optional "Parent Night" can be arranged as part of your contract. The Eugene 4-J public school calendar for holidays and breaks is followed.

TUITION: The class fee is dependent on the number of classes and students in your center.
